Climbers with specific interests or a limited time schedule may prefer the flexibility and individual attention of a Custom Program. Custom programs allow you to focus on your specific goals and to progress at your own pace. Custom programs can be arranged for private instruction in rock climbing and mountaineering; aid climbing and big wall techniques; climber self rescue; and guided ascents of technical, multi-pitch rock and alpine climbs. With southwestern Colorado’s diversity of high quality climbing, from snowy alpine routes in the high mountains to sandstone cracks in the sunny desert, we can find the perfect training area and style of climbing to help you build your skills and reach your goals. For guided climbs, common routes include the Snake Couloir (III AI3) on Mt. Sneffels in the San Juan Mountains; the Maiden Voyage (III 5.9) in the Black Canyon of the Gunnison; and the Kor-Ingalls (III 5.9) on Castleton Tower near Moab, UT.

Rock Climbing areas include, but are not limited to:

  • Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park(Maiden Voyage, Escape Artist, Lauren's Arete, Scenic Cruise)
  • Desert Towers / Moab Area (Wall Street, Castleton Tower, Ancient Art)
  • Colorado National Monument and Unaweep Canyon- both near Grand Junction, Colorado
  • Ouray Climbing Crags (Pool Wall, Dump Wall, The Sandias, The Overlook and Jimmy Cliff, Techno Crag)
  • Alpine Rock / San Juan Backcountry (Chimney Peak, Coxscomb, Wetterhorn, Sneffels)
  • Dry Creek sandstone climbing area just outside of Montrose, Colorado
  • International climbing trips with your private guide

Custom Program/ Private guiding Rates:
1:1 $300; 2:1 $200; 3:1 $175; 4:1 $155
All rates are per climber, per day. Special rates are available to groups.All rock climbing equipment is included. ($50 additional fee for Black Canyon climbs)

Half Day Program Rates:
1:1 $200; 2:1 $150; 3:1 $125; 4:1 $100
